Email: Filtering spam in Webmail
If you find that you're getting a lot of spam (junk) messages in your MyMC webmail inbox, there are a few steps you can take to minimize the amount of junk you receive. No spam filtering is perfect, but you can do something to stem the amount that you see.
This solution for all users includes the following steps:
- Reporting messages as spam.
- Blacklisting certain senders.
Step #1
Before doing anything you will need to log in to the MyMC portal and click the Email tab, or hover on the Email and click Webmail. That will open the webmail console.
Step #2
Reporting a specific message as spam Click the check box next to the message and then click Report as Spam at the top or bottom of the screen.
A message will be sent to the system administrator, and the spam filter will be refined.

Step #3
Blocking the sender of a specific message Click the check box next to the message and then click Blacklist. That email address will be blocked in the future.
However, spammers will use many email aliases, so blocking a sender is secondary to reporting a message as spam.
